70% of bookings happen in the first 6 hours

70% of our direct bookings happen within the first 6 hours after the initial search.

In a recent campaign we did, we were doing follow-ups 24h after the initial search, and 24h before the quote expired.

But after running the numbers, we concluded that most of our direct bookings were happening within the first 6 hours.

That changed our follow-up sequence.

And since we couldn’t have a person doing this work manually, we automated it.

But there was a catch.

To follow up with a guest, you need their contact.

And most hotel websites never ask who the guest is.

The guest lands on the site. Picks check-in. Check-out. Adults. And goes straight into the booking engine.

If they leave there… nobody knows who they were.

No name. No email. No phone.

You can’t follow up with someone you never met.

Asking for the contact goes against what is done in the industry.

But we never really cared about looking good.

We care about having results.
